Product and Market Overview
In the textile area, our broad product line includes preparation and finishing chemicals, dyeing and printing auxiliaries. These textile chemical technologies are designed to improve processing, fabric wear and repellency, as well as to "soften the hand" of textile, nonwoven and other surfaces, such as leather. More specifically: For preparation and finishing chemicals, Emerald is the largest North American manufacturer of Glyoxal based textile resins, which are used for wrinkle-resistance and shrinkage control on cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. Emerald also supplies a wide range of auxiliaries to give maximum performance on printing and dyeing processes.
In leather auxiliaries, the company offers sulfated oils for lubricating, fat-liquoring, and polishing waxes used in the bating process.
